SongPop continues its chart-topping performance with this week’s fastest-growing Facebook games by DAU

FreshPlanet’s SongPop is continuing to outperform the other fastest-growing Facebook games by daily active users, its 400,000 DAU this week (a 27 percent gain) let it take the top spot on the list.

EA’s SimCity Social debuted on the list this week, taking the No. 2 spot with 329,400 DAU for a 54,900 percent gain. Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM came in at No. 3, bringing in 150,000 DAU for a 188 percent increase. Social Point’s Dragon City snagged the No. 4 position with a 16 percent growth of 110,000 DAU. Finally, King.com’s Pyramid Solitaire Saga grabbed the No. 5 spot with its 100,000 DAU, up 8 percent.

Five other game on the list show gains greater than 100 percent. Hangman was up by 20,000 MAU, a 200 percent increase. LottoRace’s eponymous LottoRace took in 19,997 DAU, a 666,567 percent growth. IGG’s Spanish-language role-playing game GodsWar: El Mejor 3D Juego De Fantasía (“GodsWar: The Best 3D Fantasy Game”) grew by 16,000 DAU, a 400 percent growth. IGG had another RPG appear on the list: The recently-launched Moonlight Online bringing in 13,000 DAU for a 186 percent gain. Finally, the Spanish-language pet sim ¿Qué piensas acerca de mí? (“What do you think about me?”) grew by 12,000 DAU, a 150 percent increase.

Bubble Safari floats to the top of fastest-growing Facebook games by DAU

Zynga’s Bubble Safari topped week’s list of fastest-growing Facebook games by daily active users, taking the No. 1 spot with 5.1 million DAU for a 364 percent gain.

Peak Games’s Lost Bubble came in at No. 2 with 500,000 DAU, up 55 percent. FreshPlanet’s Song Pop is starting to gain traction, up 310,000 DAU for a 172 percent gain and taking the No. 3 spot. Tetris Online’s Tetris Battle took the No. 4 position with 200,000 DAU for a 6 percent gain. Finally, Social Point’s Dragon City fills out the top five games on the list with 180,000 DAU, a 64 percent increase.

Five other games on the list showed gains greater than 20 percent. Syntasia’s Baseball Heroes brought in 80,000 DAU this week for a 62 percent gain. Chinese-language RPG [????]????? ???!??????? (“[Reggie unparalleled] ? ? ? ? ? Super popular! Your friends are playing”) grabbed 40,000 DAU for a 44 percent gain. ShineZone’s Flower Shop was up by 30,000 DAU for a 25 percent gain. PotFarm’s Pot Farm grew by 30,000 DAU, up 23 percent. Finally, 6waves’s Ravenshire Castle is up by 20,000 DAU for a 100 percent gain.

Candy Crush Saga beats out Bubble Safari for fastest-growing Facebook game by DAU

King.com’s Candy Crush Saga regained the top spot this week as the fastest-growing Facebook game by daily active users, gaining 500,000 DAU for a 19 percent growth.
Zynga’s Bubble Safari took the new spot, bringing in 480,000 DAU for a 52 percent gain. PlayQ’s Bubble Blitz came in at No. 3 with 370,000 DAU, a 59 percent increase. King.com’s Bubble Witch Saga looks like it’s starting to recover from May’s traffic drop, jumping up by 300,000 DAU for a 5 percent swell. EA’s The Sims Social also had a gain of 300,000 DAU, up by 11 percent.
The Sims Social’s been gaining traffic over the past few weeks after several months of decline. The traffic improvement seems to be due to the limited-time quests that players are inviting friends back into the game so they can all receive special in-game rewards. Also, the recent announcement about SimCity Social has likely renewed some interest in The Sims Social, as they’re both based on popular “Sim” computer games. Note that while SimCity Social has a tab in EA’s cross-promotion bar, the game is not yet live. We expect to see a lot of traffic to the game’s page in the lead-up to its launch, much as we saw for The Sims Social.
Four other games had gains greater than 20 percent. King.com’s Pyramid Solitaire Saga was up by 230,000 DAU for a 22 percent increase. Cookapps’s bubble shooter Buggle snagged 220,000 DAU, up 22 percent. Peak Games’s own bubble shooter Lost Bubble was close behind with 210,000 DAU for a 24 percent gain. Finally, Social Point’s Dragon City hatched 140,000 DAU for an 86 percent boost.

Zynga Poker, Bubble Witch Saga Top This Week’s List of Fastest-Growing Games by DAU

Last week, it was The Pokerist Club on top — this week, it’s Zynga Poker (a.k.a. Texas HoldEm Poker). Bubble Witch Saga holds steady at No.2 and Mahjong Saga rounds out our top three fastest-growing games by daily active users.

The early results of the CityVille Enrique Iglesias campaign are in and it seems that the strongest day of engagement was October 7, where we see a 16% spike in DAU. That figure has since fallen to its present-day levels, but that still reflects enough growth for the week to put CityVille at No.4 on our rankings.

The Pokerist Club and Bubble Witch Saga slip past The Sims Social on this week’s list of fastest-growing Facebook games by daily active users.

Farther down the list, we see newcomer Heroes of Neverwinter gaining ground weeks after the game’s official launch on the platform. The hardcore adventure role-playing nature of the game is more demanding that traditional Facebook games, so it’ll be interesting to see how large the game manages to grow on the strength of its niche appeal.

FarmVille, Adventure World, and Pioneer Trail (the reincarnated FrontierVille) all gain on The Sims Social in this week’s list of fastest-growing games by monthly active users.

Elsewhere on the list, newcomers like Bubble Atlantis and Dirty Dancing are climbing steadily. The former has already broken the 1 million MAU mark, classing it out of this week’s emerging Facebook game rankings.
